SeeItOnYou for BigCommerce — User Guide
SeeItOnYou adds photo-based AI clothing try-on to your BigCommerce product pages. Shoppers upload a photo and preview how a selected item may look on them before they buy.

Overview
How SeeItOnYou works
- You enable try-on on selected apparel products in the SeeItOnYou dashboard.
- A See It On You button appears on those live storefront product pages.
- Shoppers click the button, upload a photo, and generate an AI preview.
- You track usage, credits, and product settings from the dashboard.
Important: AI previews are for visualization only. They may not represent exact fit, size, color, or final appearance.
Access
Opening the app
SeeItOnYou does not run as a full embedded panel inside BigCommerce.
- In BigCommerce Control Panel, go to Apps → SeeItOnYou.
- Click Launch App.
- The full SeeItOnYou dashboard opens in a new browser tab.

Use the store switcher if your SeeItOnYou account is linked to more than one store.
Products
Managing products
Sync your catalog
- Open Dashboard → Products.
- Click Sync.
- Wait for products to appear.
Create, update, and delete events from BigCommerce also sync via webhooks. Use manual sync anytime something looks outdated.
Enable try-on on a product
- Open the product in Products.
- Turn Try-on on.
- Confirm the garment image is clear and suitable for try-on.
- Save.
Disable try-on
Turn try-on off for that product. The storefront button will stop showing for it after the page refreshes.
Best products for try-on
Works best with:
- Tops, dresses, outerwear, and similar apparel
- Clear product photos on a simple background
- Front-facing garment images
Avoid enabling try-on on non-apparel items, accessories with unclear silhouettes, or products without usable images.

What shoppers see
On enabled product pages, shoppers see a See It On You button. Clicking it opens the try-on experience (hosted by SeeItOnYou).
Customize the button
- Go to Dashboard → Settings.
- Adjust button text, style, and placement options.
- Save, then hard-refresh a live product page to confirm.
Install / reinstall the script
If the button is missing:
- Go to Settings → Storefront script.
- Click Install storefront script.
- Confirm try-on is enabled on the product.
- Test on the live storefront URL, not Control Panel preview.
Billing
Credits and billing
SeeItOnYou uses monthly try-on credits.

- Open Dashboard → Billing.
- Review remaining credits and current plan.
- Upgrade or change plan as needed.
Checkout is handled in the SeeItOnYou dashboard via Stripe. Billing is not processed through BigCommerce Unified Billing.
If try-ons fail with a credit error, check Billing first.

Day-to-day checklist
Before a campaign / launch
- Confirm storefront script is installed
- Test 2–3 live product pages end-to-end
- Make sure you have enough credits
After product edits in BigCommerce
- Confirm image/title updates appear in SeeItOnYou
- Re-check try-on on key SKUs if images changed
Shoppers
Shopper experience notes
- Shoppers need to upload a photo to generate a preview.
- Results are generated by AI and may vary by photo quality, pose, and lighting.
- Merchants should mention try-on in their own store privacy policy where required.

Account
Disconnect or uninstall
Disconnect from SeeItOnYou
- Open Dashboard → Settings.
- Disconnect the BigCommerce store.
Uninstall from BigCommerce
- In BigCommerce Control Panel, uninstall SeeItOnYou.
- This removes the app connection and stops storefront integration.
You can reinstall later and reconnect the store.
Troubleshooting
Common issues
